The way to save is by installing a whole house tankless water heater or by installing a small tankless water heater underneath a sink.

You again save money by not wasting energy heating water with a conventional water heater which draws energy 24 hours a day.

Home owners should contact their local energy company to verify the feasability of an upgrade to a tankless water heater and the requirements.

 Local energy companies design neighborhood to meet the requirement of a typical residential neighborhood. But if you intall a tankless water heater without contacting your local energy  company the energy demand may be greater then design specifications of the system.

The increase in electrical demand may require cable and or transformer upgrade. If you do not do the research and contact your local energy company before installing a tankless water heater you and your neighbors may experience fluctuating or flickering lights.
